Properties:

Linden tea is aromatic, medicinal and used in beekeeping. Its blossoms contain essential oil, mucus, tannins and a small amount of saponin. It’s induces perspiration and is a mild laxative with anti-inflammatory properties. As a herbal tea it is considered to soothe coughs, sore throats, and upset stomachs, helps with losing weight, as well as having antidiarrheal and diuretic effects. Traditionally it is used to help with common colds, insomnia and stress.

Use:

Linden tea is very popular and well-known, has an amazing flavor and aroma, and can be enjoyed hot or cold, with honey, lemon or even on its own.

Preparation:

To enjoy hot, add some linden tea leaves in the filter found in the packaging and place it in a cup. Fill the cup with hot water (approximately 90°C) and then cover the cup and let the tea brew for at least 5-7’. Then remove the filter and enjoy your tea as it is or by adding a sweetener of your choice.

To enjoy cold, repeat the above steps by doubling the amount of tea leaves and adding ice cubes when the tea has finished brewing.
